Founded in 1984, School of Civil Engineering has four undergraduate majors .They are Civil Engineering, City Underground Works Engineering, Building Environment and Energy Engineering, Construction management.

School of Civil Engineering was granted the right to award the master degree of  Civil Engineering in 2011, which including 6 secondary subjects: Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Disaster Prevention and Protection Engineering, Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning Engineering , Construction management.

School of Civil Engineering has a system of bachelor's degree, master's training system, and a joint cultivation of doctoral students from many schools in China and abroad. There are more than 1200 full-time undergraduates, and more than 300 full-time postgraduate students and oversea students.
