On the morning of July 1, the School of Civil Engineering held a career guidance meeting for postgraduates expected to graduate in 2027 in the lecture hall on the 15th floor of Haoxue Building. The meeting aimed to help students better understand the employment landscape and prepare for high-quality employment. Bai Chuandong, Party Secretary of the School; Feng Shaojie, Deputy Party Secretary of the School; Wang Zhiyong, postgraduate counselor; and all postgraduates of the Class of 2027 attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Feng Shaojie.

Bai Chuandong analyzed new changes in the current job market in the industry. He encouraged students to develop career awareness early, make career plans in advance, and actively seize recruitment opportunities. He also advised students to adopt a realistic attitude toward employment, broaden their understanding of career options, and choose positions that match their academic strengths and development needs. He emphasized that the School will continue to provide strong employment services, connect students with quality job resources, and offer targeted career guidance to support them in finding suitable positions.

Feng Shaojie introduced the employment data and graduation destinations of the School’s 2026 postgraduates. He provided detailed guidance on setting employment goals, developing a proper view of career choice, completing employment contract procedures, and registering graduation destinations. He called on the Class of 2027 postgraduates to clarify their career goals, actively participate in recruitment activities, and prepare steadily for employment. Drawing on recent cases of postgraduate employment, he encouraged students to face challenges in the job-seeking process with confidence, focus on gaining work experience and improving professional competence, and strive to become interdisciplinary professionals in the field of engineering construction.

Feng Shaojie also answered questions and concerns that students may encounter during the employment process, helping them better understand their own positioning, strengthen confidence, and maintain a positive attitude. Through the meeting, the Class of 2027 postgraduates gained a clearer understanding of the current job market, laying a solid foundation for advancing their job search and achieving high-quality employment.
