Recently, the 8th National College Student Structural Design Information Technology Competition, hosted by the Education Committee of the China Civil Engineering Society and the School of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University, concluded successfully. Teams from the School of Civil Engineering won one first prize, four second prizes, and five third prizes.

The School of Civil Engineering actively organized and prepared for the competition, selecting 12 teams through an internal screening process. Instructors and students held several group meetings to analyze the competition topic, discuss design content, process drawings, and refine details such as BIM-based three-dimensional modeling. After months of joint effort, the teams completed structural design schemes, structural construction drawings, detailed structural drawings, and written responses, and submitted their entries on time, achieving strong results.

The competition helped students strengthen their practical innovation abilities and their capacity to solve real engineering problems. It also demonstrated their perseverance and teamwork.
