From June 12 to 14, faculty members from the School participated in the 19th National Seminar on Concrete Structure Teaching and the 9th Young Faculty Teaching Competition on Concrete Structures held in Lanzhou. The event was jointly hosted by the Education Committee of the China Civil Engineering Society, the Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee for Civil Engineering under the Ministry of Education, and the Education and Human Resources Committee of the China Concrete & Cement-based Products Association, and organized by Lanzhou University of Technology.
The competition aims to deepen engineering education reform, promote innovation in course teaching, and improve the teaching abilities of young faculty members. It brought together nearly 100 young teachers from more than 60 universities across China. Two faculty members from the School achieved strong results: Liu Kang won second prize, and Su Lijun won third prize, demonstrating the teaching competence and professional spirit of the School’s young faculty.

The School has long attached great importance to the quality of undergraduate education and teaching. It has continued to advance educational reform, improve mechanisms for supporting young faculty members, and enhance teaching capacity through teaching competitions, teaching seminars, classroom observations, and other activities. Moving forward, the School will further deepen undergraduate education reform, strengthen the development of young faculty members and teaching teams, encourage faculty members to devote themselves to teaching and innovation, and steadily improve course development and talent cultivation.
